Markéta Pilátová

Markéta Pilátová is a writer, journalist and translator from Spanish and Portuguese. She has won several prestigious awards for her work, including the Golden Ribbon, the SUK Children's Heart Award and the beProud Award. She has also been nominated three times for the Magnesia Litera Award and the Josef Škvorecký Award. Pilátová's literary contribution encompasses both adult and children's literature.

Two of her children's books have been awarded inclusion in the prestigious international catalogue White Raven, and also in the Czech catalogue of the Best Children's Books. Her latest works include a graphic novel, created in collaboration with the illustrator Eliška Podzimková, which offers a portrait of the Czech writer Arnošt Lustig
